the rooster ....

The rooster has been finished but I goofed.  My plan had been to make a fabric tray to hold 4" cocktail size napkins - I took all the measurements (including seam allowance) and added the extra fabric (it's not rocket science)  but ended up with this small tray .....  :(
I still like it although it doesn't seem to have much purpose now.   If I wanted to give it away I could fill it with wrapped candy - hmm, this is one piece that I think I like too much to give away. ^^

Love the fabric you have used to finish this rooster project - filling it with candy sounds fabulous to me.

Wonderful piece and a wonderful way to display and make a use for it.
We can always find a way and use for things we have;) Maybe you could make matching coasters to put in it.

I have made only one fabric tray for a Gorjuss exchange!
I can tell you that I have measured, checked & measured again... it was hard work and in the end was just fitting!
You have made a fantastic job at this one & I am sure you will find a good use for it, it's too good to waste!!

Oh, such a lovely finish. I love these little treays a lot. I am sure you will put it to good use even if it's too small to hold the napkins.
