horsing around .....

I made this card for a young woman who lives in our building and is a good neighbour.  She has impeccable manners, is respectful, a hard worker and a bit of a social butterfly.  She comes 'for tea' occasionally.  ^^   She loves horses so for her birthday Mr. Google helped me find a horse design to stitch for a card for her.  On the back side I added one of the little tags that I've stitched in abundance - seemed the appropriate spot for it.  She was so pleased with the card - it made my day.

We've had lots of sunshine recently and we're enjoying it - the downside is the cold wind with it.  Recently on a blog that I follow I read complaints about the negativity on social media, including blogs.  I've never had negative comments on my blog but daily I see the anger and unhappiness on FB - makes me wonder what's going on.

You are such a sweetheart to go through the trouble of finding a horse pattern and stitching it up. Not every one would do that. Lots of people just let Hallmark deal with cards. You did an excellent job. I love horses too and would be more than happy to have received this one so I can very well imagine how happy she must have been. ;^)

What a sweet thing to do, Kate--I'm sure it made her day :) The tag on the back makes it even more special :)

I always try to choose kindness, too! Thankfully, I've not had negative or mean comments on my blog either--I suppose that could be because I really do my best to think (and write) positively. It's not always easy, but I try :)

Such a lovely card that you made for your young neighbour. She must have been very pleased to receive it.
I have never had negative comments on my blog posts. Just once a somewhat weird one, not negative but not really understandable. That's when I turned on comment moderation :)
