Another one or two .....

There's been some fresh snow, alas, but I'm still in the mood for spring  ... and after all "winter always turns to spring" according to Buddha.  Sometimes winter just doesn't know when to leave.

This is my 3D pinwheel table mat - I love 3D blocks!  I used an old damask napkin for the white squares - fortunately, a stain was strategically placed so that I could cut around it.  ^^   In the jug you can see a few pussy willows and my fake faux flowering almond - I crocheted tiny blossoms and attached them to some branches.

A Spring heart from Gazette 94.  I love ladybugs!  ^^

A Gail Pan design.

I used dropcloth for both of the x-stitch designs.

Spring is here!

Spring has arrived - in person and by the calendar and I'm lovin' it.... we've already picked our first pussy willows of the year!
To celebrate this wonderful season I have a few new 'makes' to share and since I couldn't decide which ones to post you're seeing all of them.  ^^

Blogger is supposed to send your comments to my inbox - but recently it's been negligent.  I enjoy your comments and ask you to keep in mind that if I do not reply it's because you are a 'no reply' blogger or blogger hasn't sent your comment to me.  For me, it's bad manners to not reply to you but some things are out of my control.  :(

A little bit of Irish ......

May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, the foresight to know where you are going, and the insight to know when you have gone too far.

Spring has arrived and the snow is rapidly disappearing - hooray!

Some new additions to our Irish décor this year are a shamrock table mat - the instructions were found here.  Included were the cutting instructions for a 12", 18", and 24" block.

And a new x-stitch from here .....  I stained it to make it look old although that doesn't show up very well in the photo.

French vintage ....

March has arrived, the days are longer, the sun is shining again, and it feels like spring could be  just around the corner!

This is my French vintage cushion cover .....

using a graphic from The Graphics Fairy.  I ironed some freezer paper to a piece of  ivory Kona , trimmed it to 8½x11, and printed the graphic directly onto the fabric.  After removing the freezer paper I soaked the printed fabric in some vinegar for a few minutes (and no ink ran), dried it, pressed it, and began sewing with dropcloth.  How easy is that!?!?!?!

And speaking of vintage ........ hmm, looks like it was wash day.  ^^

Do you remember the bouquet of fabric that I  posted about here - well, here it is in all it's beauty pressed and folded for you to see  ....
