Spring weather has arrived early this year and we're loving it. It's nice to be outdoors again even if it's just to play around draining the melting snow. ^^ Time spent in the sewing room has been limited but that's ok.
Today I'm sharing with you 2 items in 1 photo. The flowers on the wreath are made from felt and were a fun make. The mini quilt is an idea from Temecula Quilts - I'm not sure what the block is called but I can tell you that each one finishes at about 3" - another nice way to use up scraps. Note the top centre block that looks like a heart - this is a Pat Sloan trick to add a prairie point at the centre top of the block to make it a heart .... isn't that clever!!
The wood tree that my fella made is perfect
for displaying these.
The world is full of nice people - if you can't find one .... be one.

That is a wonderful quilt, love making small ones.
Today I am taking the hint, my quilt is not getting made, lol.
I started and it jammed, then the thread kept breaking and then I sewed the blocks uneven, so back to small projects, I don't need the stress.

I'm glad Spring has arrived for you. It's cold and windy here today - I was blown about by the wind while out walking Max this morning. Your projects are beautiful and I love the Spring wreath. Linda x
What a precious mini quilt you created and I really like your felt flowers on the wreath. The weather is nice here as well although I am not ready for the return of the stinkbugs.
Oh, the mini quilt is so cute! I love it!!!
The wreath is beautiful! The felt flowers are very good idea!
Spring has arrived!!! Hurray!!!
Beautiful mini quilt and a nifty idea with the prairie points. The little wreath is just so cute too. Good to see that Spring is arriving for you. It's Fall here but the weather is still quite summery.
PS Love the saying at the end of your post!
Lovely makes Kate.
I love the small Spring wreath
Lovely little quilt and your felt flowers are a pretty idea. Love the saying...it would be nice to stitch it on a sampler.

Isn't this warmer weather the best, Kate?! Who would ever know it was only March!! Lovely little quilt and how nice to have that nice wooden tree for display purposes :)
Enjoy your weekend--hope it is warm and sunny!
I like your saying at the end. =) Two lovely things, and a wonderful tree on which to hang them.
Love the quilt Kate, it is ever so pretty!
I love your little quilt - it's got a really warm, home feel about it.
And that wooden tree is wonderful for displaying crafty projects.
Oh I love the mini quilt Kate... and you could have fooled me, I seriously thought that the top centre block was a fiddly-to-piece heart!
I just love this wood tree where you can display so many things on. Like the wonderful wreath with the felt flowers and your mini quilt. Which is just gorgeous.
