kitchen art .....

When I came across these improv birds I couldn't resist and since they're much too pretty to use they've become kitchen art.  You'll find the how-to here.

This is what I've come up with to hang my mini pieces  ..... a piece of plastic canvas on the back side for some support and a mini binder clip holds everything together and provides the hanger.  This method works really well even on the mini quilts.

I'd like to say "welcome and thank you" to my new followers.

Those are great! I first came across these birds on Denise Russert's blog. Then we did some on Lotto. Denise had a darling one as her banner last month, which you can see still on her sidebar. It was the birds with bunny tails and ears. Sounds strange, but darling!

I love your version of the birds, too. Great idea for hanging those small pieces. What a great site you linked to. Thanks! And, in case I forgot to say it on the previous post, thanks for linking my butterfly tutorial, too.

Such pretty fabrics you chose for the birds! Thanks for sharing these cheerful birds on Kathys Quilts today. I found you there at the Linky Party.

Those clips are great. My hubby used them to hand some turkish rugs on the wall in his study. Great little projects you made.
