ladybugs .....

The ladybugs are large this year.  ^^  These were my weekend projects.  The background is a mini quilt that I'm working on - all it needs is the binding.  The lily of the valley will be added to my assortment of pieces to be made into cards.  I used one of my new variegated threads for the pot and am pleased with the result ... it reminds me of a terra cotta pot.

The lily of the valley design is from Croix de Christine.

And some good news .... the tulips are poking their heads through the ground and it has rained - it must be spring!!!

It's okay to not be okay all the time.

Sweet ladybug and I love the lily of the valley - we have a large amount of it under our front window, so pretty. Have a great weekend, Kate!

All three are adorable! Is the big bug a pincushion or just a softie?

Wonderful projects and I love the lady bug, that is a fun piece and would be fun as a magnet too.
Our blooms are coming out but a cold snap coming in this weekend.

Three pretty projects for the weekend. That ladybug is really big, and the mini quilt will be wonderful with its vibrant colours.
I also have a little assortment of small pieces that are perfect for cards and I use them regularly. Which means that I always have to stitch new small designs but that's a lot of fun in between my large projects.

Lovely projects, Kate! Look forward to seeing your mini quilt. Is the ladybug a pincushion or needle book or bowl filler. Enjoy your weekend!

That IS a large ladybug! I was going to comment that I haven't even seen one, but now I have. On your blog! I hope spring is in happy abundance there. The dogwoods have just bloomed here and tulips are looking windblown, so I think our spring flowering is about done. Not one of my tulips put up more than leaves. Sigh.
