It's Friday the 13th - I consider it a lucky day - I was born on a Friday the 13th.
Last weekend was Thanksgiving in Canada - I have much to be thankful for - we celebrated at the cabin - then we closed up the cabin for the winter. The weather was quite mild - so mild that we hated to close up - I appreciated the warm weather when it was time to take the waterline out of the water.
This little gal was blooming from amongst the leaves piled on her garden - the sweet peas and cosmos are still blooming as well - there's been no frost yet.

I love the way where you live has defined seasons. It must be so nice to observe the changes in nature. Here, we seem to have similar weather most of the year, except for the extreme heat of summer around Christmas time. We had no real winter this year. ��

Your Thanksgiving celebration at the cabin sounds perfect, Kate! Still can't believe this warm weather for mid-October, but a frost is due this coming week. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted :) Glad the weather made it easier to close up the cabin--back to reality, I guess!
So nice to read that you could celebrate Thanksgiving with some neighbours at the cabin. It must be wonderful to celebrate such a day surrounded by nature. So you must be closing up your cabin for the winter with a sad eye. But at least you have planted some tulips and other plants that will give you joy in your town home.
Must have been wonderful at the cabin this year Kate! We are still in the springs now - yesterday we had 25 degrees Celsius and it feels great because I am dreading winter - not for the season itself but because my city is the 2nd in the world for pollution. Love the pumpkin and that jar cover you made! Rustic décor is so beautiful this time of the year :)
