Here's a Christmas finish to show you. It's a free design by Isabella. It's skimpy because this piece of fabric was small - the bells look hokey but they sound like sleigh bells. Marly has done a really nice finish of this design. The second photo is the fabric I used for the backing - I love chickadees and the colours worked with the stitched piece.
I made these button cookies - they were delicious ....
And this is what I'm working on - bowl fillers from Quilts by Cheri ....

Good morning Kate!!
Everything looks great!
I peeked at the recipe for the cookies. I've never heard of custard powder? I'm going to google it to see if I can fin it here!!
Happy Sunday from slacker blogger Tango!!
Kate, your finish looks darling as does your WIP. The button cookies look rather tasty. Enjoy your Sunday!
Your Christmas finish is so lovely!!! Thank you for the link!
The cookies look delicious! I have to bake them, too :o)
Hi Kate, your little stitchery is lovely.
I've printed off the recipe and will let you know how it goes. And yes,we do have custard powder here so that is not a problem. You may or may not know - but New Zealand's first settlers were from England, so most of us came claim English, Scottish, Irish or Welsh somewhere in our blood lines. Of course, we have people from countries all over the world living here now, as most other countries do.
Hello Kate!
Thank you for sharing these pretties with us! It is always great coming to your place to see what lovelies you show :)
I would love to try the cookies but since we don't have custard powder I think I might find a substitute.
What a cute cross stitch Kate, and finished so beautifully too.
Your button cookies look great, so even in shape & I'm sure delicious!
Such a lovely pillow ornament that you stitched. I love the fabric used for the backing, I think you are never wrong with birds.
These cookies look like something very tasty, I have to try them out :)
What a cute ornament, Kate! I do love adding bells to finishes like that :) And your cookies and newest little embroidery piece look wonderful, too. I need to get going on my cookie baking for our Thanksgiving--hard to believe it is just a week away!
