Emma's Tree
This is Emma's Tree. Emma was the mother of two young children when she died of breast cancer at age 29 . Her mother, Miriam Gogarty, made this tree in memory of her daughter and very generously shared her pattern.

reputation
My reputation is at stake here - I am not always stitching and watching listening to football. Here's proof ..... a pile like this
turned into this .....
a compact sewing kit that fits nicely into a handbag; I'm not sure that I like the fabrics that I used but 'it is what it is'.
turned into this .....
a small makeup roll for the handbag
hand warmer rice bags for my husband
hexagon tree ornie
candle mats
a compact sewing kit that fits nicely into a handbag; I'm not sure that I like the fabrics that I used but 'it is what it is'.
And these little characters that are made from plastic pop rings - those rings found on a 6 pack. Just cut them into individual rings and crochet around them. It takes 2 -3 per character and it's lots of fun embellishing them. I use them for package tie-ons.
Now I have to tackle the pile in the photo.

snow!
We got our first snow overnight .....
it was light and fluffy and easy to move. Little dog had lots of fun. (Yes, she's tied up since this part of the yard isn't fenced - if she's loose she'll herd everything that moves, even those with two legs.
I've got another finish; these were a free design from Create and Decorate.

Christmas ornie
This freebie is from Plum Street Samplers - isn't it cute? One more Christmas ornie to add to my basket .... I'm on a roll this year.
No doubt I've mentioned before that finishing a x-stitch is sometimes a struggle for me but I was pleased that this idea worked out. Unfortunately, due to old eyes I cannot work on anything smaller than 14 count.

Christmas countdown
The Christmas countdown is happening on many blogs and I'm loving it! I've linked up with Under the Christmas Tree at Clare's Craftroom .
My husband made the wood containers and I made most of the stuffers, even the beeswax candles. The quilt on the table was one of my first creations ... it's a basket with holly and a big ribbon.
These were wee gifts. I made fabric bags to hold a plastic bag of cake in a mug mixture along with a tag with instructions. Then wrapped them in cellophane and lots of ribbon. The funky mugs were from a dollar store. They were not expensive gifts but I would have been delighted to receive one and hope the recipients were.
