loving the quiet .....

We opened the cabin this past week and it was wonderful - the weather even cooperated for a few days - we're loving the quiet.  I was so sure I'd packed all the essentials but somehow I forgot dish detergent and peanut butter - I have dishpan hands from using laundry detergent - the birds and I have coped without peanut butter.   I wasn't able to make bread in our wee apt. all winter so fresh bread was the first thing I made at the cabin.  We've been feeding the birds - seven feeders at last count - and they've been keeping us entertained.

This is a card for my aunt for her 85th birthday  ...

The card is beautiful. I love pansies, it's one of my favourite flowers. Hugs, xx

Your cabin time sounds idyllic, Kate! I treasure those quiet times :)

Love your card! My mom will be 90 on Sunday and I've just finished making her a special card, too...

The card is beautiful, I am sure she will love it.
I do enjoy keeping the feeders full and watching the birds, but we have a lot of squirrels who eat most of it.

Oh no! No peanut butter, Kate?! I can't go anywhere without it... I hope you enjoy your time there at the cabin & all those lovely birds!

Ouch, that hurts! Hopefully, there's a shopping trip coming up in the next week or two. How delightful to be back. It seems as if you just left! So what are your summer plans there this year? The card is beautiful. What a lovely thing for her. Homemade bread without peanut butter - how sad! I must go have a peanut butter sandwich now. You made me hungry!
