falling leaves ....

We've just had a week of the warmest weather of the summer season - go figure!  One day last week our community was the hot spot in Canada - it was a gorgeous summer day.  Alas, today is supposed to be the last of the warm weather.  The plant life knows it's the end of summer and have put on their colourful coats.  We took advantage of the good weather and spent the weekend at the cabin - sadly we closed it up before returning to town.

Here are some photos from around the cabin ....

Can you tell we like rustic?

Squirrel dropped this ...

keep smiling ... it makes people
wonder what you're up to

I am sad to see summer gone already, but I do prefer the cooler temps.
A hot day today, so we are still up and down with the weather.

We had a few hot days and then today was cooler and rainy. I love your rustic decor. I like the saying on your stitched piece

Thank you for sharing the shots from around the cabin! What a great shot of the pinecone trio! Your fall stitch looks super. We hit 92 degrees for our first day of fall. UGH! According to the weather guy, we will see up and down temperatures all this week and into next.

Autumn for you, and the Spring Equinox is arriving for us here, as well as Daylight Saving. Are your days at the cabin now over?

Enjoy the fine weather Kate! Here we had a sudden drop of temperatures and we could really go from flip flops one day and into warm boots the next day! Crazy, right? I was hoping to a warm September, an Indian summer but now I dread winter might come way too soon!
I love the photos you accompanied this post with!

Such a cute fall finish, Kate! We've been having super hot weather here, too for the end of September. Crazy! Hope you are still enjoying some cabin time :)
