Alas, this is the first time in 12 years that we've had to deal with time change since we've been living in those parts of Canada that don't have DST ... I really wish the entire country would stay on standard time year around.

I always love to see pictures of the surroundings. Thanks for sharing. When I see such old ruins or barns and houses from so many years ago I always ask myself about who was once living there and under which circumstances.
I lived in Ontario all my life so all I know is time change, twice a year. Lovely scenery you are sharing this morning. So peaceful and beautiful in its stillness. I too wish old buildings could talk. These places are wonderful backdrops for showing quilts. I have enjoyed this walk with you. Thanks. ;^)

Those are the kinds of buildings Paul loved to photograph, too. I really enjoyed seeing these buildings, and the views. Is any of this still used, or even the churches are abandoned? It was interesting to see the churches are holding up better than the housing. What a lovely place you have there.
Such a pretty area you live in Kate... I, too, wish we could just stay on daylight savings time--I miss the light in the evenings after work :)
