Sugar scrub
I painted some trim and shelves today, which prompted me to mention my sugar scrub. I use it when I'm gardening - it removes the grime and moistens my hands but I also discovered that it removes the sticking bits of paint on one's hands.
If you're interested here's how to make some: white sugar, olive oil, essential oil (optional). Take a small jar and fill no more than 3/4 full of sugar (need some room for stirring), add a small amount of olive oil at a time and stir - you'll have to use your own judgement whether you have too much or too little oil - if you added too much oil, just add some more sugar. I always add a few drops of lavender essential oil simply because I like it. The sugar needs to be moistened right through but not dripping with oil .. keep in mind Goldilocks and her "just right". Some folks use brown sugar and different oils. Use what you have on hand.

I'm going to be trying this one. I sometimes put a teaspoon of salt in my hand add oil and scrub. I'm thinking sugar would probably be kinder to my skin.
I'm going to mix some of this up tomorrow along with another tip I found on another blog about cleaning your iron with Mr. Eraser! :)
I totally saved this recipe for my next girl's night/hangout! =)
